Rockwall County Courthouse

For this new courthouse building, county officials requested timeless finishes. The design team replaced the original idea of granite flooring with terrazzo for a seamless surface. The focal point of structure’s six-color pattern over four floors is a 16’ diameter, nine-color county seal on the first level that can be viewed from all floors above.  Its colors inspired the design of the building’s original painted murals.
